Before deciding to work full time as 13room Multimedia I cut my teeth in the digital world working for the following media companies. I have listed my working experiences below in reverse chronological order.

Yahoo!7 is one of the most comprehensive and engaging online destinations for Australian consumers and advertisers. Formed as a 50-50 partnership between the Seven Network Limited (ASX: SEV) and Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO), Yahoo!7 brings together the successful Australian internet business, Yahoo! Australia & NZ, and the online assets and television and magazine content of the Seven Network, one of Australia’s leading media companies. The company also combines the strengths of Yahoo! search and communications capabilities and its global internet network, with Seven’s rich media and entertainment content and marketing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Consult with sales staff to offer creative integrated solutions to work across the web and print.
- Liaising with campaign managers to manage all incoming work loads between two junior designers to meet strict magazine deadlines.
- Implementing and maintaining task tracking software.
- All major flash development for all Pacific sites.
- Creating banners, tiles, dedicated emails, graphical advertorial pages and general site development.
Pacific Magazines Digital Media

Pacific Magazines is wholly owned by Seven Network Limited and in July 2004 acquired Murdoch Magazine titles, Better Homes and Gardens, marie claire and Men’s Health.
Combined with the established Pacific Publication titles, New idea, That’s Life, home beautiful, Girlfriend, Family Circle, Your Garden, Monument, K-Zone, Total Girl and TV Hits, the New Pacific Magazines accounts for approximately 22% of Australia’s total magazine circulation and dominates the Fashion, Youth, Homemaker and Real Life categories.

HomeScreen Entertainment
Online Designer
April 2004 – Nov 2004
HomeScreen is one of the major players in the battle for the maturing market of online DVD rentals. It’s a national online service with customers all over Australia and mainstream media recognition. It currently is in direct competition with Telstra fetchmemovies. HomeScreen was started by and is still run by the former heads of Yahoo Australia and Ninemsn. The company is in close association with Hoyts and Qantas Frequent Flyers.
Projects
- Redesign User Interface and over all look of Original HomeScreen Site.
- Help create and develop and manage online brand.
- Maintain fortnightly subscriber HTML newsletter (Director cut).
Responsibilities
- To create and maintain a professional and trustworthy online look and feel.
- Redesign site look and feel.
- Work closely with Development and marketing teams to redesign sign up process and site experiences for new customers.
- To research and help organise forms of usability testing on the site.
- Maintain Fortnightly subscriber email newsletters and promotional emails.
- Create banner adds for online branding. Banner adds to suit P+ and other standards on ninemsn.
- Create animated Flash tutorials and banner advertising.
- Liaise with online companies for various forms of online advertising.
- Help organise, plan and develop the look, flow and prepare for developers new functionality of the site.
- Design the synopsis cards to be sent out with each DVD.
- Layout of corporate stationery and DVD envelopes for print.
Australian Department of Defence (Army-TC)
Head Flash Animator / Designer / Programmer

The Army TC (training center) primary function is to create training programs in all forms of media to assist in the training of the Australian Army. The Army TC uses the latest in video and multimedia production techniques to create rich media learning environments and courses.
